Dear friends,
A huge disaster has affected our Serbia. The largest flood in the last one hundred and twenty years has left tens of thousands of people without anything. Unfortunately, many people lost their lives. Consequences of this natural disaster are comparable with consequences of the most frightful wars. In this moment, we are asking your help because children are left without food and clothing, the elderly are without drugs, people are making efforts to eke out a bare existence. Furthermore, there is a threat of infectious diseases. This disaster that happened represents just an introduction to a potentially larger tragedy because troubles always come double.
In this moment, there is the most urging need for baby food, mattresses, beddings, folding beds, diapers for children and adults, socks, underclothes, children clothing, battery lamps, toiletries (soup, toilet paper, paper napkins, tooth brushes and toothpaste), rubber boots, disinfectant and hygiene products as well as other vast range of products that can save life of tens of thousands of people in need.
If you have a possibility and are willing to help citizens of Serbia, it can be done in following ways:
1. Cash payment in the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in Istanbul or payments in Turkish lira to a special account opened by the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Ankara. Payment instructions are as follows:

This account belongs to the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Brussels and proceeds paid to the PayPal account will be directly transferred to the special account of the Government of the Republic of Serbia opened for the assistance for the removal of consequences of the emergency situation - floods.
4. In-kind donations – in-kind donations can be directly delivered to the General Consulate of the Republic of Serbia in Istanbul, on the following address: 23 Temmuz sokak, no. 8, Esentepe, 34419 Şişli, Istanbul. In case you want to deliver in-kind donations directly to Serbia on your own, please address the General Consulate in order to obtain all required documents and instructions in terms of transportation.
