In Izmir, organized by the Chamber of Electrical Engineers of Izmir and "Tesla Science Foundation" from Philadelphia (USA), on May 14th  held a symposium on the topic "Nikola Tesla - the pioneer of electricity." At the symposium, spoke director of the Nikola Tesla Museum in Belgrade Dr. Ing. Branimir Jovanovic, President Tesla Science Foundation Nikola Loncar, president of the Chamber electrical engineer Hussein Yesil, as well as several other speakers who commented on the life and work of Nikola Tesla. The meeting also addressed the GK RS in Istanbul Z.Marković, who pointed out that Nikola Tesla was a citizen of the world, said that his work, without whom there would be no modern world, today connects peoples and that we as Balkan nations that are particularly proud . Listeners, predominantly students of electrical engineering in Izmir wanted to continue the work of his future work of Nikola Tesla and contribute to the further improvement of the quality of life for all of us.


The event was attended by over three hundred students of electrical engineering, university and secondary-school teachers, as well as a growing number of enthusiasts technique. President Tesla Science Foundation presented the initiative that the Foundation donated a statue of Nikola Tesla that would be placed in Izmir.
