The 2nd Smart Municipalities Summit, in which participated representatives of 60-odd municipalities and cities in the Balkans and the region of the Sea of ​​Marmara, was held in Bursa, 14th and 15th May of 2015. The organizer of this event was the Union of Municipalities of the Marmara (MMU), with the support of the Association of Businessmen of Balkan Turks (BALKANSIAD). The meeting was opened by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Turkey and the mayor of Bursa. He expressed satisfaction of good response of the invited participants and stressing the importance of cooperation and exchange of experiences of local governments in the region. From the Republic of Serbia, the summit was attended by the mayor of Novi Pazar, Meho Mahmutovic, Assistant Mayor of Belgrade, Borko Miloavljević and representatives of Sremska Mitrovica.
Participation in the work of the Summit is taken up by deepening contacts with local businesses, especially with members of the Association of Businessmen of Balkan Turks (BALKANSIAD), whose member is a prominent businessman Zarif Alps. On the second day of the Summit, our delegations joined the CG of the Republic of Serbia in Istanbul Z.Marković, when coupled with the Mayor N. Pazar visited the exhibition of the Summit and which were given during two separate interviews for "Marmara Life" - a periodical journal Marmara Union of Municipalities (MMU).
