Printer Friendly Version Guest concert of the ‘Branko’ Ecclesiastical Music Choir from the city of Nis on the Feastday of Ecumenical Patriarchate @ 1 December 2015 01:29 PM


At the invitation of his All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, Ecclesiastical Music Choir Branko from the city of Nisheld guest concert on the occasion of the Feastday of Ecumenical Patriarchate, St. Andrew the first-called Apostle.
The concert, following reception given by his All-Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew, took place at the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Taksim, in front of high-ranking representatives of consular corps, representatives of all religious denominations in Turkey, businessmen, as well as Greek community in Turkey.
On both occasions, Patriarch Bartholomew reflected on the excellent relations that Patriarchate has with its sister Serbian Orthodox Church, using warmest words and emphasizing that the Feast had been enriched by performance of ecclesiastical choir from Nis, hometown of the emperor Constantine, whose visit was made possible by the kindness of his All-Holiness Patriarch of Serbia, mrIriney. His speech at the Holy Trinity Church was being translated to Serbian language as well.  
The concert was held in an excellent atmosphere and represents an immeasurable contribution to the presentation of the culture and tradition of the Serbian people in Istanbul. This was one of those days when we rightly felt proud.
