INFORMATION ON THE ENTRY OF TURKISH CITIZENS INTO THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA


In addition to the existence of a visa-free regime between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Turkey, Turkish citizens upon entering the Republic of Serbia are required to possess:
• a valid travel document that is valid for at least 3 months from the date of intended departure from the Republic of Serbia;
• proof of possession of financial means for staying in Serbia. The amount of 50 euros per day of stay is considered sufficient funds, and the proof is cash in the specified amount, a statement from a bank account;
• a health insurance policy for the period of stay in the Republic of Serbia for the amount of medical expenses that cannot be less than EUR 20,000

 

When entering the Republic of Serbia, the border authorities may also request for inspection:
• travel agency voucher for tourist trips;
• return air ticket;
• proof of a paid hotel or confirmation of the private address where the foreigner will be staying, as well as other information that becomes important when crossing the border to confirm the purpose of the trip


Getting an appointment for the application

Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in Istanbul will resume normal consular operations on May 11, 2020. Please send the following information via e-mail konzulat.istanbul@mfa.rs to get an appointment:

- Name and Surname

- Application type (e.g. passport application, citizenship, birth registration, marriage registration)

- Turkish ID or Serbian passport number

- Preferred date of application (at least two)

- Document issued by the Consulate General regarding your application (i.e. passport application confirmation)

- Phone number

Important: Preferred date should not include National or Religious Holidays in Serbia and Turkey or day of lockdown in Turkey. Consulate General will inform you if there are available appointments on the preferred date or suggest another one, if all the appointments for your dates are taken.

After taking all the circumstances into consideration the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia has decided to take limited number of appointments per day in order to ensure social distancing and other proper measures. 

IMPORTANT: Wearing a face mask and gloves at the Consulate is mandatory.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Selaković met today in Belgrade with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.

Minister Selaković stated that the relations between Serbia and Türkiye were at their highest level in recent history, and that this was, without a doubt, partly because of the good personal and professional relationship between the two Presidents, Aleksandar Vučić and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
